DEMOCRATIC PARTY PRESENTS “A SOCIAL MOLDOVA IN A UNITED EUROPE” PROJECT

The Democratic Party of Moldova presented on Friday the project “A Social Moldova in a United Europe” that aims to socially develop the country.

The project was presented at an international conference in Chisinau where representatives of European Socialist Parties participated.

The leader of the Democrats, Marian Lupu, said that it is necessary to implement specific reforms in all sectors, especially in the social and economic branches.

According to Lupu, the project is based on social priorities that relate to the strengthening the educational system, reformation of healthcare, including people with disabilities in the society and liquidation of unemployment and corruption.

As he said, non-priority tasks that lead to society polarization must be procrastinated in favor of social themes like creating work places and conditions to return migrant workers home to their children.

The Democrats leader said that all the political force of the country that share the social values and implement policies to decrease the poverty may participate in the project.

“The social and economic reforms will be actively supported by European partners on development that will offer the necessary support and help for their implementation”, said the Chairperson of the European Union’s Delegation in the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, Marianne Mikko.

The member of the Executive Committee of the European Socialist Party, Peter Schieder, mentioned that the project presented by the Democrats is a modern document that clearly meets the social needs of Moldova.

According to him, the political parties of Moldova must determine and implement the most effective partnership mechanisms and an effective dialogue with the whole society and the experts.
